Kennedy Space Center-Cape Canaveral

Park Map

Kennedy Space Center is approximately an hour's drive from Orlando but the trip is well worth the drive. This is not a museum, it is the actual Space Port that NASA uses to launch rockets and the Space Shuttle into Space. recent additions to the complex include a ride that simulates what astronauts go through during a shuttle launch.

You can see the history of NASA, the space race, and walk through the "Rocket Garden" where rockets of time past are displayed. An observation gantry is available by bus tour, giving you an elevated view of the Space Shuttle launch pad which will actually have the shuttle in place within 30 days of a scheduled launch. The Saturn Rocket displays are amazing impressive with a final stop at the International Space Station building.

The Space Center will capture your imagination and give you and your family an up-close interactive experience with NASA and mankind's quest to explore.
